In this current global iteration of our collective reality good news IS drastically overshadowed by the constant inundation of bad acts. It’s a key component of the psychological assault the powers that be are currently waging against the masses.
These controlling entities want you overwhelmed because overwhelm fosters division and drives apathy so that when we have time we don’t concentrate on positive actions that drive change for all of humanity, instead we cope through dissociation.
It’s been shown that when people hear about good things happening in the world they feel the hope of possibility and it inspires them to act in pursuit of building a better world for themselves and others. Every cause needs a person. There is no pressure to be a part of every cause (although I do believe people feel a high level of guilt for not being able to be a part of every cause and that adds to the overwhelm and inevitable dissociation) but I can guarantee that giving of yourself selflessly in a single direction will improve the quality of your existence. Most likely that is written in your human design and if you ever want to explore your personal path of purpose connected to your unique design… book a reading with me.
I have thought for years and years that news channels should be more diverse. The endless feed that regurgitates the same news daily is mind numbing. What about a program that highlights the positive initiatives being accomplished and realized on climate efforts globally?? MSNOW should do a weekly hour on the rising opposition and how protests are manifesting globally and they should air it without thought to ratings. I would eat any of those shows for breakfast. The powers that be, aka billionaire corporate conglomerates that own our media companies (and other companies) don’t want that on TV, because the point is to make money doing exactly what they’ve been doing without having to change…because that is the cheapest way to keep making money.
In an effort to combat the onslaught of bad news and reorient the power of our attention, let’s dig into some inspiring activism that’s been happening lately.
On July 1st, 2026 Active duty Air Force Major Jason Watson stood in full uniform on the steps of the capitol building in Washington D.C. to call for the impeachment, conviction and removal of Donald Trump and JD Vance for war crimes. This action goes against the Uniform Code of Military Justice which specifies that while in uniform he cannot speak out against the president, his commander in chief. This act was done independently by Major Watson, after his speech denouncing the current administration and subsequent protest on the capitol steps he was arrested. This act of bravery in the face of consequences he was well aware of is unique in its occurrence during this administration. Watson was arrested for “Crowding, Obstructing and Incommoding” because he was without a member of Congress to accompany him. The D.C. attorney’s office dropped the charges but he was directly transferred to Air Force custody. Since July 2nd he has been in minimum security, Level 1 confinement under a gag order from his superior officer. No formal charges have been filed against him by the US Military but he is under investigation for conspiracy, contempt towards officials, dereliction of duty, conduct unbecoming of an officer and conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline as per the aforementioned Uniform Code of Military Justice. On the day of his protest, Major Jason Watson stated that he was in full comprehension that his actions would likely throw away his 17 year military career and that he knew he would be arrested and likely serve time in jail. He knew the consequences and he still persisted to stand up for what is right. Source: Military Times
April 27, 2026 Independent journalist and lawyer Katie Phang formerly employed by MSNBC, one of many reporters/journalists of color fired by MSNBC aka MSNOW last year) independently filed suit against the DOJ for the full release of The Epstein Files. They were required to be released in full by the Epstein Transparency Act signed into law by Donald Trump on November 19, 2025 within 30 days. Some files were released after the deadline but not all and 256 days later (as of 7/26/26) are still incomplete.
On Thursday June 25, 2026 U.S District Judge Emmet Sullivan determined that Blanche had violated the transparency law and ordered the DOJ to unredact additional pages of the Epstein Files by July 2nd or show cause as to why they cannot comply.
Much of the uproar around what has been released is due to the fact that in the files names of Epstein’s clients are redacted and survivors names have been exposed. July 2nd came and was met with an additional filing by Todd Blanche which flies in the face of the truth. The DOJ claims that releasing more materials would harm Epstein’s victims and the government.
The way my face contorts into annoyance when they reference protecting the government… pedophile sex traffickers working in the government flat out need to be exposed, arrested and prosecuted for their crimes, without exception.
Hopefully through Phang’s bravery we will begin to see justice for the survivors of Epstein’s sex trafficking ring that has yet to see any arrests of the pedophile clients named within, who include: Donald Trump (more than one million times), Howard Lutnik, Bill Clinton, Les Wexner (former owner of Victoria’s Secret) and more. As of July 25th Judge Sullivan has ordered Blanche to show him the unredacted documents so he can judge whether or not the DOJ has broken the law. On July 30th Todd Blanche complied with Sullivan’s order and turned over 10 unreacted documents from the Epstein Files to be reviewed by the Judge…to be continued.
Katie Phang has a podcast and YouTube channel where she reports on developing stories surrounding the present day corruption happening in the US Government. I’ve been listening to the podcast all week and it’s really effing good.
May 1st, 2026 Marine Veteran Guido Reichstadler scaled the Frederick Douglass Bridge in Washington DC for the second time to protest the war on Iran and AI. He is a cofounder of the grassroots org, Stop AI. His first ascent in 2022 was in response to SCOTUS’ ruling on Dobbs which overturned Roe v. Wade, stripping decades of women’s rights over their bodily autonomy. His protest in May lasted 5 days. Once he ran out of water he descended and was arrested. Reichstadler speaks about the unlawful nature of the war on Iran coinciding with his objections of AI being merged with weapons of war.
Beginning in the spring of 2026 after Louisiana canceled their primary one day before the election so they could gerrymander their voting districts, constituents of Louisiana rose up and began a recall petition effort to remove Governor Jeff Landry for tampering with fair and equitable representation of Louisiana residents. This effort is ongoing and needs further support. You can find out more HERE.
Everyday in the United States citizens are gathering to protest and voice their displeasure with the direction our government is moving in and very specifically in response to the way DHS and ICE are operating. Recently in Biddeford, Maine after the murder of Joan Sebastian Guerrero at the hands of an ICE agent protestors rose up to do what they have been doing in towns all over the country, protesting peacefully as a way to bring attention to the fact that people are being kidnapped and murdered in the streets of America. ICE agents are poorly trained carrying out the orders of a despot desperate to cause harm. Their orders and behavior mimics the former slave catchers of the civil war era or the secret police of World War Two Germany right up to the synchronicity of detainees being held in inhumane concentration camps, where countless atrocities are being committed against people whose crimes do not amount to the depravities spelled out in the Epstein files. In fact, being in America without proper documentation is a misdemeanor and the people being kidnapped are much more likely to become victims of human trafficking than commit anything more than a misdemeanor. More than 50 people have died in ICE detention in Trump’s second term. From Minnesota to Portland to Texas to Delaney Hall in NJ, American citizens are gathering to show their opposition to the crimes against humanity being committed by the American government and they need your help. This can be as easily accomplished as having conversations with your neighbors to discuss actionables en masse, showing up to detention centers to provide water to protestors, or by joining in yourself.
Fourth of July Honorable Mention: Mother Earth: During the Freedom 250 celebrations in Washington D.C. the weather made a statement of opposition in its own way, applying hot hot heat to the Washington D.C. area that saw low turnout numbers for the Great American State Fair as well as intense storms on Independence Day that caused a delay in the fireworks display which did not begin until after midnight on July 5th. The massive fireworks spectacle created smoke so thick that halfway through the show the fireworks were fully obliterated. A pollution warning was put into effect for the area because the size of the smoke cloud caused dangerous pollution levels in the Washington D.C. area; residents were told to evacuate and wear masks. In essence the 250th celebration of this country planned by Donald Trump turned into a total failure and the weather which rules us all did its part to ensure that but the environmental harm caused was the sole fault of Donald’s ego.
Radical Acts
In 2026 alone there have been 165 warehouse fires in the United States. In general these incidents aren’t being reported on and certainly not referenced in a manner that talks about it as a rising trend. As costs become more and more insurmountable and cost of living requires sacrifice while billionaires simultaneously flaunt their wealth without regard to the masses, suffering people are beginning to voice their unrest in other ways. Without a way to stitch together the evidence of the warehouse fires trend we can only reference some of the videos that have been posted and listen to the words of those that set the blaze, “guess you should’ve paid me a living wage” is the prevailing sentiment. If you’re interested in watching this rising trend there is a website diligently tracking these fires.
